The Nordlys System
The Nordlys system permanently reduces unwanted hair by delivering short (safe) bursts of Ellipse IPLTM directed at the target area. Essentially, the emitted light is absorbed by the melanin in your hair. Then, the melanin converts that light into heat, which travels down the hair, towards the root. This heads the hair matrix, preventing further hair growth in that area.
Prior to the procedure, a thin layer of gel is applied in order to ensure good contact with the skin. Wavelengths that could potentially be detrimental or harmful to your skin are filtered out, using patented Dual Mode Filtering.
Number of Treatments
The number of treatments depends upon the location and the life cycle of your hair. You may need to repeat the treatment at multiple intervals. Studies have shown that 4 to 6 treatments are needed. Additionally, the length of the procedure depends on which section of the body is being treated.
